The thing is that people dont care about debt anymore. No one really cares that Australia owes almost $2 trillion. They are proud that their house is $1million and dont care if the mortgage is also $1 million. They care is world cup soccer, cricket, a BBQ with family and health of their kids. Money and debt is just paper.
