i dont disagree with your cash earnings and it being 'profit'.
my point is if a large part of that profit has to be reinvested to maintain/replace reserves/production its only academic in nature as that 'profit' isnt available to fund either genuine growth or be returned to shareholders.
im not shitting on you or rrl, ive been an owner for a while and still bullish. but looking at a headline figure and ignoring large capex requirements may end up disappointing yourself.
to ad to this, this is capex that rrl should have been progressively spending over years and not 'holy shit lets spend it in a year'.
i dont criticise management for hedges or for mcP. i do think ignoring duketon for years was monumentally stupid.
