Someone should have lectured those arrivals on assimilation
I don't think we can expect the generation that comes now to 'fully' assimilate into the 'true blue' way of life. That torch is held by the next generation... their children Just look at the earlier migrants... Greeks, Italians, Eastern Europeans. I think its safe to say the older generation still hold their native traditions close to their hearts, where as their children (who were brought up here) would have embraced the "Aussie way of life".
