IMO the whole coronavirus response has been handled terribly. Shutting down the economy for a prolonged period was always going to create many corporate casualties and mass job losses.. On top of the (now rising ) bill for jobkeeper, we now have many less taxpayers.

COVID will be with us for a long time, so natural immunity should be allowed to take it's course though of course not unabated.

After the initial wave
hospitals reserved for the critically ill. and "field" hospitals set up in available buildings for the mildly ill - possible staffed by retired , students and other health affiliates. some from ranks of unemployed.

Strict hygiene standards for all manner of customer service, face masks essential for all in public.

Strict code of behaviour re social distancing,

Stay at home unless necessary

The current response has created pain and debt for decades.
