In essence it puts a tax on carbon from countries ( starting in 2023) who aren’t acting on climate control emissions.( duh Angus Taylor are you listening?).
This is seperate to the battery passport regulations that come into force starting 2025. I think it’s fair game to think those will be revised as well. Peter Carlsson from Northvolt was one of the original proponents of those regulations.

Oh and I forget to mention another benefit for Talga from CBAM is of course LKAB with their world first green steel product. I strong profitable JV partner is good to have!
