While the mention of $3.60 and broker buy recommendations may seem reassuring, it’s crucial to remember that institutions often set inflated price targets to serve their own interests, not necessarily to reflect the true value of a stock. These targets can be manipulated or based on assumptions that don’t materialise. Even with increased profit expectations, ZIP is far from out of the woods, and its challenges are still significant. There’s just as much potential for the stock to drop as there is for it to rise. Institutions and analysts can be overly optimistic, and $4 could just as easily be a temporary spike before the reality of ZIP’s operational hurdles sends it back down. Never trust their price targets blindly, as the risk of a downside move is just as real.
