Affirm has an $8.4 bil Balance Sheet and $2.4 bil shareholder equity. ZIP has a $3.4 bil Balance Sheet and $400 mil shareholder equity, saved by the last 'capital management exercise' which without it would have been wipeout and put the Balance Sheet into negative equity, placing all covenants into default. ZIP cannot afford anymore losses - although there is likely to be another this year, it will be milder because of the write down of the Convertible Notes.......at some point it is going to have to find a way to get some shareholder equity into the Balance Sheet again - big profits, capital raising or writing off more CN/debt would be the way to do it.
