Do you think that statement by Klarna is a bit window dressing about keeping up appearances and following the 'me too' trend? ChatGPT's 'inspiration' in the IT world can mean anything, regardless of its fit for purpose or quality. That being said, a robust support engine built on ChatGPT-4 (or 5) and trained on company datasets would likely be more cost-effective and preferable compared to "low IQ" roles outsourcing to individuals who merely follow scripts. After hours of head butting with Qantas support, I wish for the relief of dealing with logical entity that understands the rules. Obviously, the future is for some very lean companies' delivery lots of high-quality services at good margins.
