I think they're trying to do that latter, but I honestly think they're just quite bad at trading given that the outcomes of their predictions tend to be quite mixed. If they were simply trying to deceive, there would be a pattern of prices always moving in the opposite direction (ie always rising after they say to sell). That's not the case, they're simply gambling and attempting to encourage others to do so as well
