He's right. ZIP has driven its costs down and stripped out fat, but delivered an accounting profit only - the business is yet to create sufficient difference between income and outgoings to call it profitable and most don't realise that a lid has been put on growth, deliberately, to stabilise it until it can prove itself. It needs to make a bigger switch between BNPL and margin lending but has to do it while trying to compete in a crowded market, maintain credit quality and navigate regulations. It is hard to do
