Understanding I am as emotional retail investor as anyone else, yet my focus leans more towards shock speculation, identifying fully capitulated stocks like ZIP was last year. While the strategy of riding winning stocks and dumping losers might make sense superficially, it doesn't hold up under deeper scrutiny. With ZIP's rapid rise, I've been pondering whether I would invest half a million dollars in it at $1.50 today. My answer is 'no', not at this time. This decision implies that selling at $1.50 is essentially looking at the situation from the other side of the same coin.
I'm likely to get back in the future, but I'm waiting to see some consolidation time first. ZIP has a 100% history of manic-depressive behavior, and currently, it's in a phase of mania. It's uncertain how long this will last—perhaps it'll reach $2, or perhaps not.
