    I'd have to agree with this....I think @goodfella also has stated his views on interest rate rises Vs cuts in the past.

    Central Banks will raise rates until a recession / depression occurs. This is all they have ever known what to do. What you are seeing now is a mini hiatus in this strategy while they take stock on the effect that the previous rate rises have had before marching on to further ones. latest monthly CPI for Feb is 3.4% still higher than target of 2.5%.

    I hope I'm wrong, but I won't be surprised to see cash rates in Oz at 6% by the end of the year up from 4.35% currently.

    I believe this environment still provides opportunity for growth in the BNPL sector as discretionary income gets squeezed yet Peeps still want to buy luxuries/treats/necessities. The only downside is the costs of borrowing increase for ZIP but potentially they can negotiate a positive outcome with lenders in this environment
