Question:
Can you have 1 x SMSF with 2 people in it? i.e Can I set one SMSF for both the wife and I and roll over both hers and my super? If you can split super, surely you can consolidate.
Background: Both the missus and I have 2 super funds going each. One is work super (9%) each, and the other was previous extra contributions (I was trying to reduce the risk by not having all my money in just one super fund).
The 2 x work ones are industry funds and the other 2 are Colonial mutual etc...
I want to keep the industry funds running but want to consolidate both the "other" super accounts.
Is it possible.
2nd question. I read on here people saying that it is not worth starting a SMSF unless you have at least $200 000. The money I havein the "other" funds is significantly less.
