Oh and I seem to recall that when Ted was in charge there was talk of an anti-takeover team on standby, does anyone remember that? what happened to them?

I can only guess that they are long gone after Potter brushed aside most of the old team. In any case, since Potter was so keen to sell up the company, and that he was so happy to support the deal, the anti-takeover team would not have been engaged at all even if they are still around.

In hindsight, I have learnt a valuable lesson that just because someone can run some side-show in the middle of Russia (where everything he does can be hidden inside the giant tangle of a supermajor) does not translate to his ability to run a smaller company (where the company's fate is fully reliant on his decision-making skills). It's a bit like hiring the local club pro to play at the PGA level.
