Pwinne good advice about seeking out an accountant . I think we all should find a good acct or financial advisor .
Not so sure about selling and buying in a less desirable area though . The costs of selling , buying then reselling only to buy what one wants in the future would cost way to much !
It's not just agents fees and stampduties but add removal costs , telephone reconnections, gas , water, insurance , legals .
For each buy and sell of a 400k house u'd have to allow a minimum of 20k ish and maybe as high as 30k [in Vic]
Go to Queensland to buy and sell . S/duty on purchase of 400k with 220k mortgage is 6,000 but in Vic it is 17,500 .
stuff it hurts.
