Surely the deaths linked to Coronavirus are blown out of context when compared with people dying from other reasons.
In countries like Thailand 6,100 people have died from road accidents, while just 58 have died from the coronavirus. People are wearing facemasks but don't wear a helmet when riding a bike.
Worldwide figures show that 50% more people have died from road accidents in the same period of time.
Fatalities year-to-date:
- 435,971 – Coronavirus – some deaths being marked down as COVID-19 despite other possible causes
- 222,071 - Seasonal flu – some seasonal flu fatalities may be mistaken for Coronavirus
- 447,058 - Malaria
- 488,746 - Suicides
- 615,245 - Road accidents
- 766,182 - HIV/AIDS
- 1,139,931 - Alcohol
- 2,278,427 - Smoking
- 3,743,237 - Cancer
- 5,916,735 - Communicable diseases
