Canterbury floods:https://www.stuff.co.nz/business/farming/300321993/canterbury-floods-adverse-event-declared-funding-unlocked-for-floodhit-farmers
A state of local emergency was declared for the whole of Canterbury following heavy rain described as a one-in-100-year event.
The MetService www site
https://www.metservice.com/maps-radar/rain/cumulative-rainfall
still says "Cumulative Rainfall Map Unavailable
Unfortunately the cumulative rainfall maps have not captured the recent heavy rainfall accurately and have been disabled while we investigate. The maps will be restored once resolved."
NZ Gov too busy screeching "GW/ClimateChange" while can not measure rain.
