Yes "dargie, it certainty is looking more positive than the first try on Harrison 1.
Had a thorough look at past announcements, and there is definately NO mention of any casing in the first hole at that deepth, so like you say-- thats an upgarde !!
According to "sue12's" accessment on the drama in the first hole,,-- it may well have been avoided, if they were running " drilling jars " in the string.
In their " exploration update on 6-12-2006", they mentioned that the side track drilling got STUCK twice on the previous weekend, at around the 7000 ft level..They also said that it was "jarred " free...,, so that does indicate that they may now be running a jarring device and if so ,, thats another upgrade !!
I am certainly no expert on drilling, but from the announcements, it does seem very likely, that the drilling contractor is adopting superior stratiges this time..
From the announcements, they got the gas kick at around 12500 ft,, and the target deepth is 12800 ft.
sue12 is the man to tell us whether the contractor has lifted his game or not !!
