It's not the amount of shares on issues that is bothering true investors, not even DT's, the more the merrier for them. Gives them liquidity.
Do you think ESR got from 0.005 cents to 15 cents because someone gave a shite about how many shares were on issue, or BRN from 3 cents to 97 cents with a peak market cap of $1.47b (1.6b shares on issue i think). Nope.
Consolidation is an interesting proposition, in most cases it's a value destroyer. There's plenty of research and yes, of course there are winners too ( WBT consolidated and went 5 times after consolidation - an aberration of the internet of things, or AI, or BRN phenomena).
I discussed this with Bahay a few months ago, along with 20 other things like changing the name ( didn't see that in the AGM Agenda either ). All things will happen when the company believes its best for all of us shareholders.
They have managed to tick every box promised this year and the pilot plant is next and that will be done and dusted shortly.
After that, it's deal making time and this is where the real value making has to happen and we have entrusted Bahay and the Executive Team to do this on our behalf. None of us can control if someone decides to sell 1m shares at market close to push the share price back to 1 cent, everyone needs cash for a reason, but speculating if there are too many shares on issue, or a name change will change things, we'll do that on here, but it won't change anything.
The only thing that will change the share price now is the deal making and the signatures on contracts and MOU's and D2B's.
That's the real game, the short game, the long game, every game.
Make sure you're happy with why you're here, then stick with it, whether it be a trade, a capital gain or a dividend. Then stick with it. I bought more recently so I know where I stand.
