I think a lot of it depends on just what these FinTech acquisitions that they've been considering are, noting especially that tech stocks often trade at much higher PEs. If it's truly something innovative in the markets/fintech space, then great, but who knows?
The problem is that we all have no idea at this point, but they know this, and the proposed IPO will certainly shed some light on it all.
