The contract for delivery in three months on the London Metal Exchange added as much as 0.8 percent to $18,700 a metric ton and was at $18,625 by 10:19 a.m. in Tokyo, heading for the highest closing price since Feb. 5, 2013. The metal has gained 34 percent this year, the most among six main metals on the LME.
