daily chart for XVI.AX (ASX200 VIX)
The ASX200 VIX seems to turn upwards, then it whipsaws back down again. Painful for shorters.
Perhaps the VIX is not much use as an indicator? Or more likely, it is signalling that the XJO has entered bear trap territory.
