Administrators from Ferrier Hodgson have been appointed to Australian-listed biotechnology group Ventracor. The move follows the failure of attempts to secure new capital, although Ventracor held discussions with more than 100 prospective investors. US-based Medtronic is believed to be a potential buyer of the group's VentrAssist heart pump technology.
