re: yankee dollars As investors i would expect them to explain how they expect things to improve - what steps they are taking - it shows a proactive board thinking ahead.

I mean look at all the resource small caps they all say we expect big things - this creates undue expectations and drives the speculative bubbles - i look for companies who explain their plans and the short term steps they plan and have in place.

It is about being a cut above the rest and a PR approach also but such stocks do actually outperform the laggards over time.
