I was just reading that quote and was thinking if someone (hopefully CWE) managed to get multiple arrays built in high energy yield areas such as the southern ocean then how would they get it to the areas where they require it, i.e. the northern hemisphere.
While this is fancilful - Would they use transmission lines or is there potential to use mega ships (converted oil tankers) with battery storage to carry the energy to where it is required. The movement of Battery ships versus the cost of cost of laying lines and substations and then the ongoing maintenance maybe competitive. If the battery systems were in a modular system i.e. a sea container you could hot swap the part for refurbishment, or potentially drop the required containers (batteries) off at locations in a regular delivery.
