I beg to differ, MisterC - house prices ALREADY fell 20% in Syd / Melb leading up to the last election with fears about the future of negative gearing.
There are lots of things that can adversely affect house prices and pandemics are only one.
In the same way there are numerous risks lurking for any market (including the housing market). All IMHO ;-)
