You make a valid point based on a historic share price argument.
But,
There are many variables which drive the price of BHP and I think that volatility will continue to be present in relation to the general market and BHP in the immediate future. Whether or not one uses the past events as the basis to formulate futuristic viewpoint is a point debated by the best analysts in the world.
