JCurve is an excellent business model for all those fortunate to be on the payroll.
As I have said before it is an agency business.
There is no company vision.
JCurves exists to promote Netsuite and get an agents fee. In the process spend $9,000,000 a year for the privilege of doing so.
Who pays for the Asian development and takes all the risk. JCurve. Netsuite does not put up a dime.
The expense is not buying the tinpot Spectrum business, the expense is the millions required to operate a team of salesmen/women to flog the product. If it does not get traction - there goes a slug of the JCurves cash and they retreat back to the small business portfolio in Australasia.
How the hell can they focus on Riyo whilst trying to understand and build a business on Asia plus trying to change the customer mix in Australia from the small business to the larger operators.
All this whilst the overall JCurve revenue is contracting.
Their overheads remain fixed, without a massive sales force to sell and service they are dead in the water.
So what is the result if revenue continues to decline with fixed costs of over $9,000,000 each year ?
You reduce the costs by cutting the sales force, there goes the servicing and new business.
Once again this company has hit the crossroads, mainly due to the fact that they were to slow to move.
Whilst developing the Netsuite agency they should have been aggressively developing their own business acquisitions. Creating a business model whereby they could develop and control their own revenue/profit streams.
Now they are trying to develop Netsuite in Asia and change the design of the business model in Australia whilst attempting to grow Riyo - all this with a declining revenue stream - the very thing that kept them alive.
It is going to end in pain.
