The 185 bcf of helium is part of a 3 tcf gas target at Mt Kitty, so keep that in mind, in regard to asset valuations. These estimates are at the P90 level, so are optmistic. Still possible though.
If 1/5 of the P90 target is discovered the SP effect will still be major
15bcf of helium is at Magee and part of a .8tcf gas target. This is where gas and helium has previously flowed to the surface. That is something to be excited about.
SP calcs on a discovery of that size are still very nice compared to 9.7c
I'm very interested in JH's enthusiasm for CSG as per this quote:
"Drilling in 2008 resulted in net Permian coal in two wells
over 50 km apart in excess of 100m with some individual seams approaching 40m in thickness;
these results have obviously positive implications for Coal Seam Gas (CSG) and Underground
Coal Gasification (UCG) exploration."
Bold text added by me.
I recall reading that background gas from some of the seams was 233 units, which I understand is very good for CSG. Icon (ICN) who are currently testing CSG made this comment on 5 May:
"Over the
Walloon Coal Measures, gas readings ranged from 35 units to 101 units against a background gas
reading of up to 10 units. This is again a good indication that the coals are saturated with gas."
So 233 units, if it holds up would seem to be very good, particularly if it is over a decent proportion of the coal deposits.
Ooriminna doesn't have a very nice name and is not referred to all that often, but the target there is 2tcf, again P90, but as this is another site where gas has flowed to surface, people might like to do some Sp calcs on 1/4 to 1/2 that amount being a final reserve. They are returning to the site of the previous drill, so like the Alcoa/TSV drill currently being undertaken, perhaps the real question is whether commercial flow rates will be achieved, because the gas is certainly there.
Mt Johnstone has been verified as an oil prospect with the apparently 90% accurate Gore exploration method. If it is really that reliable, we'll all know pretty soon
All of these targets paying off is surely too good to be true???
If even one or two of them reach 25% of their potential it will be a great year for us.
God luck to everyone, the slow countdown to drill is beginning.
