Afghanistan has - reportedly - the world's largest undeveloped copper deposit plus other minerals. Not easy to extract but China should do very well.

No doubt Putin is eyeing on developing their large gas reserves and whatever oil they have!

The West is probably eyeing their "poppy crop" for the kids!

Unbelievable! As you say the Taliban appears to have learnt a lot and should do well financially! Let us hope so because then they will have less time / inclination to devote to blowing everyone up! Maybe those fleeing now will want to go back and help their country, errrrr, line their pockets - if so, the Taliban should jail them for 50 years IMO!
