My next thought: This sort of thread is usually started by a holder who is wildly enthusiastic on the particular stock - you don't seem to qualify.
My subsequent thought: This sort of thread can be created by a ramper who wants to rev up the price so that they can get out at a higher level (examples can be found on many small stocks) - good luck with ramping CBA, but I am sure that is not what you are trying to do. (if you are, see above about being wildly enthusiastic!
Anyway, my thoughts are that any long term holder thinking about lightening up will also think "what a lot of CGT I am going to drop".
And it will be on their mind as to what further advances CBA might make as interest rates drop. And how the CBA div becomes relatively more attractive then.
But finally, taking a profit on part of your holding is what I expect quite a few will do.
