My read of the announcement is that if you participated in the last SPP in December 2008, you are restricted from this raising. The exact words in the announcement are "adjusted for participation in the SPP in December 2008". Nobody else on this thread seems to have interpreted it that way so happy if I'm wrong. It looks like there might be some restriction on how much a shareholder can use SPP for the one company in a year??
I also hope the closing date for the NAB SPP is after CBA announce their results in mid August, and the other banks give their quarterly updates (if they are doing them). The bad debt news that NAB announced today was surprisingly bad. If the others don't announce a similar lift in bad debts, the NAB share price could get quite weak as instos switch their weightings between banks. I would really like to see the comparitives from other banks before I buy more NAB in the SPP.
