The best way to help someone is to teach them to help themselves.
Shall I read it that 9(?) Aboriginal blokes took to a 10 year old Aboriginal girl and gave her the result of 200 years of bad policy.
Lucky for them, she, like those who had gone before her decided to agree to just let them do their business.
Oh and I say that because she did not struggle or fight back... maybe that had something to do with the hopelessness of her situation, I mean 9 against 1 is hardly fair is it.
And all Beattie can say for his time at the top is that he initiated an alcohol plan. I experienced this first hand when I lived up north. The community to the west of us had banned alcohol. This meant the drinkers moved into the closest city and created pressures there that I need no mention here (and know you understand).
