    i like your maths. if the co. goes for a mainshaft upgrade in early 2009, to increase the tonnes hauled to surface, then your scenario of 60,000t per annum is a go'er i reckon.

    conversely, as the co. has already mentioned developing a decline, & there is a photo of the portal site for the decline on the website, that too would increase the daily tonnage rate from the MS mine.

    especially as there is high grade gold near surface at the AAA reef (as discussed months ago - & some info on it can be found in co. announcement of 29/7/1999 for an example), thus the building of a decline would be paying for itself as it was being built.

    therefore, in my mind, it would be hard to dispute that MCO would not be producing 60,000 ounce per annum in 2009.
