In simple terms, the NBN will cost every Australia citizen approx $2000 each and given that babies and many other citizens will not have the means, it will be probably over $10000 each for just the average person. The head of NBN company talks in the Senate hearing of a return possibly in 20-30 years and had not yet thought of ways to attract private sector returns. Clearly no private sector company would waste their hard earned this way. Plan A looks like the only way out - steal Telstra.
