...like what Mr.Conroy says - we dont know what will be required in the future - just as when electricity was first installed it was unknown what expension was to come of it other than an electric street and business premises lighting and a power point for the wireless ( radio ) ... then came lights for everyroom, power points for everyroom, power for theatres cinemas and food shops hygiene, water pressure pumps for your water pipes, refrigeration, electric stove, washing machine, window air conditioner, television, electric blanket, kitchen appliances, kitchen appliances for every food type cooking, microwave, air conditioning for every premises, government excuses to raise taxes ( price rise ) ...
... and the list goes on and on and on ......
... lots of employment as a result of this electric thingy ........ .......
... all sorts of new things will come in time from broadband installation - we must be prepared for the future ..... ......
