The argle diamond discovery was a classic case of them following the trail of diamonds up the dry creek bed to the source, let's hope they have the same technique and success in S.A. The article suggests they are following the trail but the drilling is expensive and like trying to find a needle in the hay stack. If they find the needles there is usually a lot of them, lol.
Interesting reference to the coal seam. Are there some coal mines in SA at all ? Qld seems to be where the bulk of the coal is in Australia with some near Newcastle of course. I recall reading something about iron-ore in S.A. but there doesn't seem to be many announcements about either iron-ore or coal in S.A.
Anybody with local knowledge in S.A. able to comment?
