Chief, It's on the public record of the Morning Star mine history up to 1963 that assays (not sure if drill or grab samples or both) over time averaged in the 10gr/t to early teens grams per ton but historic production (excluding 2-7 g/t 'tailings' which was often discarded into the river or used as back fill!) was at least averaging 26.5grams per ton. It's this fabulous grade that is so interesting about the area and which made Walhalla so notable too - the Long Tunnel was a great mine for instance. There are definite comparisons with Hill End Gold but that was a smaller operation at even greater returns per ton but in extremely narrow veins of a few cms in some cases whereas I think Morning Star was between half metres and 1.5m mineralised zones and reefs etc. The history is fascinating and the prospects are very interesting for MCO. Good luck to you all.
