vayama..dont apply p/e's to stocks as they are an indicator of past earnings..its best to look forward....such as the market does....earnings can quickly turn ugly in such a market...anz is probably going to be downgraded shortly as defaults become more pronounced..and with the credit squeeze..higher funding costs will also have an effect on earnings....
