    the speed at which the chinese said, 'the japanese agreed to 65% increase so we accept that', smacks of desperation to me. i can see a much bigger increase coming for oz ore.

    the big thing in our favour is india. the hype surrounds china obviously but indian demand will only get more massive. if the chinese wont fork out the cash for good io, the indians will. (having gujurat linked to plv is a bonus imo).
    whats to stop plv selling all its 'boutique' ore on the spot market? the ships carrying respectable io from rio/bhp/fmg etc will make the malacca straits look like the arc de triumph at 5pm on a friday, but we will have the 'good stuff'. "who wants to buy this lovely ore? show me the money"
    either way, a doubling of price is pretty much a doubling of profit eh, given potentially v low costs in getting plv ore onto the ship.
