Not sure if anyone here has seen or posted this before, there is some great reading in it, I noticed that a basher on Yahoo has been saying this:-
"Metal Storm chief engineer, David Pashen admits for the first time publically that the “wedge sealing” was a failure for operation in combat.
What else has been kept from “mum and dad” investors as insiders, including former directors, CEO and inventor Mike Odwyer, dump the stock in massive amounts. Is this the biggest scam in Australian corporate history?
“through the mid- to late-1990s, initial
concept prototypes were tested that used
‘wedge sealing’ – a way of ensuring that as each
projectile was fired, the exhaust gases didn’t fire
the following projectiles. These initial systems
demonstrated the concept well, but lacked the
practicality for operation in combat, "
What this poster omits to tell anyone is that this new tail on the ammunition as the sealing method is far superior in sealing the rounds, but more importantly, it also gives the added ability to clip the rounds together, which is a big advantage when reloading, especially in things like Firestorm or the Redback, and more than likely in a weapon called the axially loaded machine gun, which will be even better than the BFMG for certain uses!
This poster on yahoo cherry picks information which could appear to be bad news to make metalstorm look bad, when in fact it is good news all round, have a read of the article,
here is the link :- look for a PDF called 2009-06-30 "Changing The Security Order" (Government News Magazine)hot! 30.06.2009
