    According to a recent article in BRW spot steel prices have declined from $1200 US a tonne in June to around $255 US a tonne by October.

    However current contract prices for coking coal is around $300 US a tonne and $140 US a tonne for iron ore.

    Unless steel demand and hence the price increases substantially we can expect a nice old drop in the iron ore price next year.
