The strategy is to create a perception of big holders selling (perhaps perception of insiders bailing) which in turn the manipulator hopes to cause a panic by the less experienced investors who subsequently sell their shares below the large sell bid at any cost while the manipulator swoops and takes all the free stock created by his big sell bid.

It is a very common strategy used to accumulate shares by the “big players” and it is illegal according to ASX and ASIC….but who stops them
