Kindren did explain the full picture. Coming from the top of the market that is not too bad plus that loss will be tax deductible so the percentage you have given changes commensurate with his marginal tax rate or offset against cap gains as would happen with any other investment. What astonishes me is how the inexperienced do not want to grasp the full picture from the experienced.
