Well, the invisible hands plus unpredictable government hands, what a combination. One thing is for sure, 2011 will have a lot of surprises, for both technical guys, and fundamental people.
I guess Branake is watching all technical indicators too. It does not mean he believe it, rather to find a perfect moment to intervene the market.
Maybe day trading is still the way to go if there is enough volatility of the market. If there isn't, try some stocks, particularly small caps. Then we have to put up with rump and dump.
It is not easy. I might stick to simple rules, rather than complicated charting and analysing. They are time consuming, and often foiled by government intervention.
They key is still proper money and risk management capability, and begin with not greedy, not to fear.
