Spanky ,condolences for living in such a terrible place as Perth.I'm not in an argumentative mood today but I can't let it pass that you think the government is bringing in a mining tax to slow the boom.....I'm almost speechless for once
Sorry Spanky Governments anywhere tax for one reason and one reason only and this one is a classic case .Taxes are punitive .This government is absolutely desperate to keep the boom going gangbusters because if they can't they're completely cactus and irretrievable,but of course they're desperate for money at the same time which accounts for the misjudgements and poor decision making . I think we need to let the fullness of time emerge before we see the full impact of these taxes and how we stack up against similar economies who don't have them.It mightn't take long.
As far as the carbon tax goes I don't think I'll go there.
Sorry for the politics fellas but in this instance it is impacting significantly on our investments
