Ive read through all the posts, cant see any comprehensive details about the south texas play, apologies if ive missed something.
This is pure speculation, but after searching and sifting ive come across an acquisition by a US company Reostar Energy back in 2009 for a South Texas Eagle Ford Shale leasehold for 13,000 acres. Matches the acreage of the TEX acquisition. Was also an acquisition from private owners (for $5.5m.) However, Reostar filed for bankruptcy late last year, and i cant see anything in their court documents regarding this Eagle Ford play. Perhaps they defaulted on their payment and the prospect was back for sale/farm in?

Speculation only, but with all the interest in Eagle Ford if this is the area picked up by TEX, could be very interesting times ahead.
