I was out of work for nearly two years after the GFC and had to deficit fund
by expenditure. Otherwise the family would have starved. You can't keep doing it forever of course which is why the Government is aiming for a surplus next year.
Fortunately I got another job and am also running surpluses again. Just like Labor will next year.
