2016 in retrospect

I thought it might be interesting to go back over 2016 and review some of the forecasts and see how they panned out.

I won't do them all at once because there's too many, you'll all remember the "Lord's Shemitah". Some posters rely on and subscribe to these psychics, it's hard to believe.

Pastor Lindsey Williams predicted that on 27/9/16 there would be USD and bank crashes, when that didn't eventuate he predicted a USD collapse shortly after the election.

Bo Polny predicted a market crash, new all-time highs in gold and silver and that gold will double and silver will treble in 2016. He also predicted the worst market crash in history by October 2, 2016. Bo also predicted a 10,000 point drop in the Dow in one day.
When the others didn't eventuate Bo predicted a December 19th, "Black Monday" crash.

Robert Kiyosaki predicted the worst market crash in history.

Marc Faber predicted a crash (like every year), a 'cataclysmic' (his word) 50% plunge in the S+P 500.

Jim Willie predicted a market crash in June 2106.

Thom Hartmann predicted the "great crash of 2016".

Gerald Celente predicted 'economic collapse'

Jim Rickards predicted that the Fed "will definitely not increase rates in 2016", he also predicted a market crash.

Martin Armstrong predicted a crash on October 1st 2016, probably a shemitah cock-up.

Michael Pento predicted a 20% plunge in the S+P, USD Index below 90, more QE, and no interest rate rises.

Gold 'analyst' Robert McEwen predicted US$1,900 gold

Franklin Sanders predicted on 17/6/2016 that gold will never drop below US$1,201.

Bill Holter predicted a market crash

James Howard Kustler (don't you love those 3 names dudes) predicted Dow 13,500, S+P 1,200, gold $1,750and silver $42.

Craig Hemke predicted a market crash.

Mike Maloney predicted a stock market and USD crash.

Paul Tudor Jones predicted a crash in 2016

James Dale Davidson and Andrew Smithers (The Sovereign Investor) predicted a crash in 2016.

Poster JFI posted a video from an outfit called AWAKE, which predicted destruction of the USA on 26/11/16.

Stanley Druckenmiller predicted gold up, Dow down in 2016.

Peter Schiff predicted "economic Armageddon" in 2016.
