Well GEM have sold millions of carats and they can’t keep up with demand so I think we will cross that bridge when we get to it.
I know I like to carry on about De Beers, but what they did in marketing diamonds can be replicated with rubies with the added bonus that a monopoly can be maintained. Tiffanys movement into rubies is a big deal - while they like to project they are some sort of high end jeweller that are really a mass market player. They alone will be able to shift anything MUS can produce.
On the topic of marketing De Beers had “a diamond is forever”. I am going to kick in my contribution for a slogan with “a ruby is real”. Girls you if he really loves you he will give you rubies not diamonds.
